Psoriasis can often be difficult to cure with either conventional or natural methods. One study indicated that a 0.5% aloe vera cream utilized for 4 weeks was substantially effective in reducing psoriasis skin lesions. The aloe cream helped cure 4 out of 5 peoples who used it, whereas the improvement rate was just about 6% with those who used the non-active placebo.
Psoriasis lesions are generally very dry and flaky. I assume aloe’s emollient and anti-inflammatory benefits were the main reason that it was so useful in this study. In my experience, not every psoriasis patients find out beneficial – but a surprising number do.
